Joseph M. Lucia, PE. President
With 40 years of experience in the industry, Mr. Lucia has provided engineering and project management in all corners of the construction industry including everything from heavy highway construction to industrial building and large public projects such as wastewater facilities and sports arenas. His areas of expertise include stabilization of structures due to difficult soils, highway structures, slope stabilization, erection planning for cranes, seismic anchorage design for piping and pumping systems and mixing equipment, damage analysis and structural evaluation. Past projects include Safeco Field (home to the Seattle Mariners), Seattle, WA; Quest Field (home to the Seattle Seahawks), Seattle, WA; Brightwater Wastewater Treatment Plant, Woodinville, WA; Picnic Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, Edmonds, WA. Mr. Lucia earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering at the University of Santa Clara. He is a registered professional engineer in the states of California and Washington and is a principal at Lucia Engineering, Inc.
Roger W. Patten, Architect
Mr. Patten has 30 years experience providing a full range of project development services with expertise in concrete tilt-ups, concrete masonry units, property condition assessments, steel structure construction. Mr. Patten received his B.S. in Architectural Studies and Bachelor of Architecture from Washington State University and is a licensed architect in Washington State and is a principal at Patten Architects, Inc.
Marvin Miller, Sales & Logistics
Mr. Miller brings over 35 years experience with complex international sales. He currently leads the ERG sales team and has guided ERG’s growth into new markets. He currently manages sales and opportunities worldwide, with a focus on emerging markets in South America and Asia. A U.S. Navy veteran and world traveler, Mr. Miller is driven to help communities around the globe improve through clean, efficient, waste to energy technology.
Reymundo Delgado Hernandez , Sales & Marketing – Central & South America, the Caribbean
Joseph Lucia, Plant Facilities Manager
Mr. Lucia earned a B.S. in Business from the University of Washington. He is experienced in shoring design and on-site inspections of shoring, tieback anchor and pipe pile installations, and brings expertise to ERG in working with difficult soils for foundations and retaining structures. Joseph assists with site-specific issues of WTE plant locations.
Miles Zuluaga, Plant Construction Superintendent
Kaminski (Кирилл Каминский), Engineering – Eastern Europe & Russia
Mr. Kaminski is a technical engineer specializing in waste disposal and its impact on livestock and crops. Kiryl worked in the ERG office in Washington State in 2017 as a junior engineer and fell in love with the possibilities ERG’s WTE plants could have for the reduction of pollution and waste removal in Eastern Europe. He is currently on location in Belarus, studying that country’s waste disposal issues.
Adrian Garcia Heredia – Plant Equipment and Computer System Manager
Catherine Heredia, Public Relations – Education
Mrs. Heredia is a charter school administrator with 13 years of experience in independent study charter schools. During her time in education, she has worked with many different charter schools throughout California, from the development stages through implementation of the programs. She has served as Account Manager, Director of Operations, and Director. Her experience encompasses different aspects of the school settings, including project management, operations systems, development of process and procedures, creation of policies, budget and grants, and state reporting. Mrs. Heredia believes, as we all do at ERG, that “education is the answer”~! Catherine develops programs for our educational literature concerning the environmental impact of municipal waste which we periodically pass to our clients.
Katsiaryna Yurievna, Executive Secretary
Robert Ford – Tempus Trade Partners, LLC, Financing
Mr. Ford is an experienced trade finance professional and a specialist with trade and commodities with an emphasis on the energy sector. His firm, Tempus Trade Partners, LLC has financed complex transactions in Asia, Africa, the United States, and Europe. He has worked separately with exporters importers and trading companies to structure their financial operations and expand their trade. Mr. Ford is personally oversees every detail of every his clients’ transactions. He is the person responsible for the analysis of transactions and client business’ and oversees the structuring of every transaction.
Mary Oswald, Digital Manager
Ms. Oswald provides digital and graphic art support for the ERG team, including managing the ERG website. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Washington State University and owned a digital marketing company prior to joining the ERG team.
Corky Smith, Jr., Consultant
Mr. Smith is a mining engineer who received his Master’s degree from the Mackay School of Mines at the University of Montana. Mr. Smith served as president of Olivine Corporation, one of the world’s leaders in waste incineration systems, until the technology was acquired by Emission Resource Group, Inc. During Mr. Smith’s tenure at Olivine, the company installed over 70 waste incinerator & WTE plants worldwide. Now a key consultant to the ERG engineering team, Mr. Smith’s decades of experience and expertise have contributed to ERG’s next generation WTE design.
Yuriy Kuzmich Zuyev (Юрий Кузьмич Зуев), Consultant – Eastern Europe & Russia
With over 40 years experience as a system safety specialist with an emphasis on human exposure to adverse environmental conditions, Mr. Zuyev is an invaluable consultant to the ERG team. He is currently Kiryl Kaminski in investigating locations, conditions and potential waste-related environmental issues in Belarus, Russia and Eastern Europe. Yuri also advises ERG on the impact of toxins contained in computer-related components and biological waste disposal.
Daniel Bogar, Consultant
Mr. Bogar serves as ERG’s environmental science consultant. He brings critical knowledge of chemistry and environmental issues to the firm through years of experience working with waste storage impacts. He studied at both Montana State University and Oregon State University.
Thomas Russell, Consultant
Mr. Russell earned a B.S. from the University of Washington and is a graduate of the Hydronics Institute. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Russell is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School, Finance School, Army Medical Service Officer Advanced Training School, and Command and Staff School. Mr. Russell owned Pacific Coast Mechanical, the largest boiler and hydronic company on the West Coast before becoming a special consultant for the World Bank in 1996. He has served as a dispute resolution mediator both in the U.S. and abroad.
Angelo Michael Lucia, Environmental Consultant
Mr. Lucia serves as ERG’s environmental science consultant, having studied at Montana State University and Oregon State University. Angelo is the quintessential outdoorsman & environmentalist. He brings to us critical knowledge of chemistry and environmental issues, and a thorough knowledge and understanding of waste storage impacts..
Pat Crosby, Mr. Crosby, S.E., DBIA, LEED AP, Consultant
Pat Crosby is a principal at the Crosby Group, an international firm based in California, Washington D.C. and Colorado. Mr. Crosby is an innovator and leader in the seismic design field and was recently named to the Board of Directors of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) where he continues his advocacy and contributions to the design-build industry. Mr. Crosby serves as a structural consultant to ERG.
