Engineering

Joseph M. Lucia

With nearly 40 years of experience in the industry, Mr. Lucia has provided engineering and project management in all corners of the construction industry including everything from heavy highway construction to industrial building and large public projects such as waste water facilities and sports arenas. His areas of expertise include stabilization of structures due to difficult soils, highway structures, slope stabilization, erection planning for cranes, seismic anchorage design for piping and pumping systems and mixing equipment, damage analysis and structural evaluation. Past projects include: Safeco Field (home to the Seattle Mariners), Seattle Washington; Quest Field (home to the Seattle Seahawks), Seattle, Washington; Brightwater Wastewater Treatment Plant, Woodinville, WA; Picnic Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, Edmonds, WA. Mr. Lucia earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering at the University of Santa Clara. He is a registered professional engineer in the states of California and Washington.


Architecture

Roger W. Patten

Mr. Patten has 30 years experience providing a full range of project development services with expertise in concrete tilt-ups, concrete masonry units, property condition assessments, steel structure construction. Mr. Patten received his B.S. in Architectural Studies and Bachelor of Architecture from Washington State University and is a licensed architect in Washington State.






Sales & Logistics

Marvin Miller

Mr. Miller has 35 years of experience with complex international sales. He currently leads the ERG sales team and has guided ERG’s growth into new markets. He currently manages sales and opportunities worldwide, with a focus on emerging markets in South America and Asia. A U.S. Navy veteran and world traveler, Mr. Miller is driven to help communities around the globe improve through clean, efficient, waste to energy technology.





Joseph Lucia

Mr. Lucia earned a B.S. in Business from the University of Washington. He is experienced in shoring design and on site inspections of shoring, tieback anchor and pipe pile installations, and brings expertise to ERG in working with difficult soils for foundations and retaining retaining structures.


Consulting Engineers

Corky Smith, Jr.

Mr. Smith is a mining engineer who received his Masters degree from the Mackay School of Mines at the University of Montana. Mr. Smith served as president of Olivine Corporation, one of the world’s leaders in waste incineration systems, until the technology was acquired by Emission Resource Group, Inc. During Mr. Smith’s tenure at Olivine, the company installed over 400 waste incinerator & WTE plants worldwide. Now a key consultant to the ERG engineering team, Mr. Smith’s decades of experience and expertise have contributed to ERG’s next generation WTE design.


Daniel Bogar

Mr. Bogar earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington. He has served as a Senior Professional Engineer for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (License 27767) since 1991.  His experience and expertise include fluid systems engineering involving: condensate and feed, steam, seawater, heat transfer emphasis distillation and air conditioning.

 

Pat Crosby, S.E., DBIA, LEED AP

Mr. Crosby is a principal at the Crosby Group, an international firm based in California, Washington D.C. and Colorado. Mr. Crosby is an innovator and leader in the seismic design field and was recently named to the Board of Directors of the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) where he continues his advocacy and contributions to the design-build industry. Mr. Crosby serves as a structural consultant to ERG.

Thomas Russell

Mr. Russell earned a B.S. from the University of Washington and is a graduate of the Hydronics Institute. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Russell is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School, Finance School, Army Medical Service Officer Advanced Training School, and Command and Staff School. Mr. Russell owned Pacific Coast Mechanical, the largest boiler and hydronic company on the West Coast before becoming a special consultant for the World Bank in 1996. He has served as a dispute resolution mediator both in the U.S. and abroad.
